Banner and fixings outside the play area

Question

Hi all

The rules state that the banner and its fixing cannot exceed 50mm inside the play area. What about outside the play area? Is it the same as inside, or can it not exceed the play area at all?

For example, say we clamp the banner on the wall of the play area and the clamp protrudes 30mm on each side of the wall. By the rules it is allowed inside the play but is it allowed outside as well?

The rule don't forbid you to do whatever you want outside the table.
